Hey Forum,
My name's Adam. I'm writing an article for HEEB magazine (www.heebmagazine.com), a publication aimed primarily at Jewish readers in their 20s and 30s.
My story is a profile of non-Jews who help Jews perform essential tasks at home (turning on the lights, cooking, etc.) during the Sabbath. They can also help by staffing Jewish business from Friday to Saturday evening. In the past they've often been called Shabbos Goys.
My questions is, do you know of any? I'd like to profile former or current Shabbos Goys. They can live anywhere in the country--though the New York area is ideal, because it means our photographer can come out of and take a few shots as well--and be of any age. If you don't know any Shabbos Goys firsthand, please poll the members of your community and your synagogue.
Instead of posting their names and other personal information on the forum, please e-mail me at Adam_Marc_Bright@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance.
