Talia Wants To Live!

Talia is eleven years old. Up until recently she sported a bouncy ponytail, flashing eyes and a wide grin, racing through the day doing whatever eleven year olds do. Talia’s pony tail is now gone. Her eyes are sad. Her grin has disappeared into the nightmare of fighting for her life. Talia has cancer. While her classmates play jumprope, Talia has been introduced to a world which no child should ever know…the world of hospitals…the world of life-support machines…the world of untimely death.

But Talia can live. Her doctors say that a bone marrow transplant can save her life. To insure success, the bone marrow donor must genetically match the recipient. Ezer Mizion is holding a major drive on July 1st in Israel. Thirty thousand people are expected to be genetically tested. Genetic testing is expensive. Ezer Mizion will do whatever it takes to save Talia’s life but Ezer Mizion cannot accomplish its goal without your help. Talia’s jump rope is lying forlorn in a corner.
