I am jewish 14 year old. I am VERY proud of my religion. I have noticed something that is interresting, and i wanted to know your guys thoughts. I noticed that jewish people are very into the arts. For example, i love acting in plays, i am very advanced in video effects. I also do websites, LOVE photography (www.adamspictures.com). Alot of people i know in my drama class are for the most part, jewish, very smart (most of them are in honors) and are into singing. The rest of my school is mostly christian. What is also interesting is that my mom did not push any of this onto me, i sort of just fell in love with it. SO my question is, is it something in the "jewish genes" that makes us so into the arts and makes us usually very smart. It was just interesting to see that most kids in drama are jewish. Has anyone else expierenced this. (Just to let you know i play sports too Smile

It may be generic, it may be upbringing, it may be coinsidence or just a flawed sample. Frankly i think it's a little of both:

They may have just found a gene that jews have that makes us more intelligent but also may cause us genetic disorders.

when you mentioned "my mom didn't push me into it". that's exactly the point. the fact that you mentioned your mother subtly indicates that she is a major part of your life. parental involvment is crucial to children and teens and probably 80% of those who thrive in education, arts, industry etc. can trace it back to the support -though hopefully not "pushiness" of their parents.
