The train station has them, the post office has them even your bank has them- lines, long lines. Standing in line waiting for service is never pleasant, but now with the holiday season it’s gotten worse. The solution is sitting in the corner- away from the lines. Many service organizations have installed kiosks to help alleviate lines but they often sit unused while long lines form to interact with the service personnel.
Next time you see a long line- give those machines a try- it may take a few minutes to learn but investment will pay you back each time you visit the establishment. Cindy, the shoe entrepreneur of Cindy’s Deals on Ebay, discovered such a kiosk at the post office. “The 30 people on line were just staring at me as I used the kiosk. I was done in two minutes while the line barely moved.”
